The Big Day

Adahleigh has really gotten into watching movies lately. She would sit and watch them non-stop all day long if we'd let her. She even tries to turn them on herself, so we've had to put the xbox away so she can't help herself to it. One of her favorites is The Fox and the Hound, so for her cake this year we made an attempt to put Todd and Copper on her cake. It came out pretty well, especially for having to mix most of the colors to get them.

She was really excited when she found out what her cake was.

She was even willing to give the cheesiest grin possible.

She got an new car seat too, it wasn't really a birthday present, Grandpa and Grandma Wilde just brought it up for us. We got her a new seat since Charles has gotten too big for his. He loved her new seat from the beginning though, he was climbing all over it so we buckled him in and he sat there content as can be.

When it came time for cake, Adahleigh was ready to go. She got a little shy once everyone was singing, but when it was time to blow out the candles she stepped up to the plate. What was really funny was once she blew the candles out she said "one more time", since that's what we said when practicing early in the day, she wanted to do it again.

Adahleigh's favorite gift after all ended up being her new car seat, not because of how great or comfy it is, but because the nice big box it came in. Charles agrees that the box is the best present too since he has had just as much fun playing in it.
