Happy New Years!

We hope everyone had a great new years. We are excited to be starting a new year. We have enjoyed 2011 but it seems like it was just so busy with so many things going on that now we can slow down and enjoy life again.

Some of the highlights of 2011 were..
Adams Graduation
Jobs and moving
Many fun and random vacations
a lot of traveling
and moving again!

Yup thats right, we will be starting the new year in our new home! After the weeks of searching, agreeing,  and signing our lives away we were able to close only days before christmas! We spent our holidays moving! But we were able to have everything we needed to live here for christmas eve. We also managed to get everything moved in before the wether turned bad and it started to snow. This move was pretty successful we only about dropped the top of the lizards cage.

Now that we are finally starting to get settled in and everything unpacked. We are very happy with our new home! The kids our loving the back yard to be able to run and play in. Adam is enjoying scowering the place and seeing how everything works or what needs fixed, and lastly i don't know what i am more excited about the working dishwasher or the fact there is not carpet under my kitchen table! We will not be posting pictures of it on the blog so if you wish to see it i guess you will just have to come and visit us!

We hope now that we are up to date on this blog we will be able to stay on top of it better this year. (Sorry for the overload on posts but we wanted a fresh start this year, so if you want please catch up and look at all our pictures.) We know a lot of you enjoy reading our blog. So please check back often to see what fun adventures we have been on, what we have accomplished, and what is going on in our lives!

Love,

Adam, Ashley, Adahleigh, Charles, and Keisha

Christmas 2011

As you can probably tell from past post we have kinda bailed out on all holiday celebrations. Well christmas was no different. We finally got our tree set up christmas ever before the kids went to bed. The kids found there stockings and of course the first thing they did was put them on there feet.

Keisha also had a stocking on but it did not last long. Although she still wanted a picture like the older two.
Hanging out waiting for dad to finish getting the christmas lights on the tree.
We finally got to putting our ornaments on. Keisha tried her hardest to get them to stick on the tree so when she finally got one to balance on the tree she cheered for herself.

Finally done. The kids getting ready to open there christmas ever pajamas.
This is the only picture we got of them in there new pajamas and slippers. Charles of course got lightening mcqueen, adahleigh got dora, and keisha had tinkerbell. They all requested footed pajamas although adahleigh is not wearing hers.

We had a great christmas day. We had ten o clock church and since we barley make it to church on time on a normal sunday we made the kids wait until we got home from church to open there presents. We didn't manage to get any pictures of them that day. We dusted off the old video camera and pulled that out and just video the kids. They each got a couple toys and some new clothes. Adahlieigh got a couple princess barbie dolls, charles got a dump truck, and keisha got another doll to add to her collection. The kids also got two power wheels to share amongst them. Hopefully we can get some pictures of them and post them this new year! Thanks again for all the christmas gifts and cards. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

O Christmas Tree

This year we were able to go out and cut down our own christmas tree again. We have not got any real snow fall so it made it easier for the kids to be able to go out and look around.

They all enjoyed following adam around just wandering through the trees. They only got stuck a few times to where they had to find a new way around. Instead of being able to step over things like there dad.
The kids found a million trees they liked and asked if we could have all of them.
With no luck on lower ground we headed higher up in the hills. The kids got lucky and was able to play around it what little snow there was.
After a while of searching we finally found one we all agreed on. We gave each of the kids a chance to try to help cut the tree down.

Keisha finally gave up halfway through and fell asleep.
The kids helping dad carry the christmas tree. (or being towed up the hill!)

December

We had a very good december busy but good.

The kids enjoyed playing in the little snow falls we did have.

We also were able to go watch the towns light parade. The kids were very excited to see all the different lights. We didn't get any pictures of the lights because it was so dark. We did get a video of them and the kids watching, but since we are unable to load video i will not be able to post it.

We also went to our ward christmas party where they put on a live nativity. Adam was asked to be in it and to sing a song with two other men. The program was really good.

Haloween

Haloween this year was very uneventful. We started our holiday celebrations by attending our wards halloween party. They had some carnival games and there annual chili cook off. Adam even participated this year and made a great bowl of chili.

Charles of course was Tigger again. Adahleigh was a witch, and keisha was a horse.

Waiting our turn to get our chili.
Keisha devoured a whole bowl of chili before the night was over.
Adahleigh is not a big fan of anything with the slightess bit of spice to it so after she had a couple bites of her chili she was crying she needed a drink. As adam went to find her a drink i told her to take a bite of a piece of cornbread and it would help. After having a bite i look over to see her coughing and her eyes watering. I could not figure out what had happened. So i took a bite of the cornbread and about died my mouth was on fire. The cornbread was spicer than the chili was. I felt so bad after wards.

The night of halloween we were suppose to be going trick or treating to all the local buisness down around the middle of town. Adam had to work late and the weather had gotten cold so i opted to stay in and not take the kids out. Keisha and charles both hate to be cold so i thought i was for the best. So when adam got home we dressed the kids up and adam ran around the house while the kids chased him knocking on doors and going on there own little trick or treat.

Kids Mcdonalds

At the end of the summer the kids and i were heading back home from playing at the park. The youngest two always ride in the stroller and adahleigh loves to ride her bike. As we were waiting on the corner to cross the street. One of the local sheriffs pulled up and stopped and proceeded to get out of his car. Me being the worrier than i am was wondering what we had done to be stopped by an officer. He was very friendly said hello, and of course he asked if they were all mine?,  then started talking with adahleigh. His conversation with her consisted of the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a bike. Adahleigh being the talkative one she is was answering all of his questions.  When they were done he pulled out a stack of papers, it was a bicycle safety award certificate, which she got for being safe and wearing her helmet. The certificate was good for a free hamburger happy meal at McDonalds. He also gave one to charles and keisha so they would not feel left out. We had to hang her certificate up because she was very proud of it.

We waited around until we knew McDonalds had something they would actually use. We ended up taking the kids the week before halloween.

They each got one of there halloween buckets which they enjoyed decorating with the stickers.

A lady also gave us some coupons she was not going to use so our dinner that night for all five of us was less that 5 dollars.

Adahleighs 4!

Every year we ask the kids what they want on there cake for there birthdays. Adahleigh was stuck on rainbows this year.  For breakfast we made her a stack of rainbow colored pancakes and topped them off with raspberry syrup!

She also always wants strawberry ice cream. Adam has been eying an ice cream maker at work for The kids each had there turn turning the handle.

Her rainbow cake!
The only thing she wanted for her birthday this year was a belt and a pair of cowboy boots!

She also got a cake pan that makes five different animals so later in the week adam made brownies. The animals mouths our open so you can fill them with candy or ice cream or whip cream!

Some things adahleigh is doing now that she is four........
*she still loves to sings there is never a day we don't hear her little voice singing.
*She loves going to primary
*Her favorite colors our purple and pink
*she is a great big sister and helps her siblings out whenever she can.

Spring is on the way

This year for Valentine's Day we had stake conference, so we got all the kids dressed up and ready to go. They were actually willing to ...
