Another Trip to the Zoo

Since we got our awesome zoo and museum membership for going out to Oregon we had to make the most of it. We decided to meet up with Miles and Erin to go to the Oregon Zoo in Portland. We kinda missed our local zoos when we first arrived because the parking is so limited there that if you don't ride the bus into it you take 10 min or more searching for a parking spot. If you think its bad when you go to the store and people follow you on your way back to your car hoping that you have a front row spot, you haven't tried to park at the Oregon Zoo because that's about the only way you get a spot but there's basically a line to get into even be able to follow people and then you really don't care where they parked as long as you can get their spot. Some parts of the zoo were also disappointing because they were either closed down or under construction because they were revamping a lot of the exhibits.

Adahleigh really enjoyed having Kenya and Azure there to interact with. Kenya was the little expert on the exhibits and activities and would show everyone how they worked.

Adahleigh and Kenya found every opportunity available to climb and hang like monkeys.

Everyone of them totally disregarded the rules about petting the animals. They said not to touch the animals heads or tails and not to hug them either. They were only suppose to touch their sides, but the goat didn't seem to mind.
There was music playing on the concert lawn so Kenya wanted to dance, and of course Adahleigh and Azure followed.
Once again Charles was a good sport when it came to hanging out in the stroller and watching everyone else get to run around. He also enjoyed his new ability to drink from a sippy cup.

By the end of the day there wasn't much walking being done by Kenya and Adahleigh so they got carried around to the last few exhibits.
And here's a picture of Kenya's favorite animal at the zoo; The Naked Mole Rat.
